Our Community
Lafayette County is a rural community in North Central Florida with deep agricultural roots and a resilient spirit. Through hurricanes, wildfires, and the challenges that come with being a small community, our people continue to show up for one another and make the most of what we have. From the banks of the Suwannee River to the streets of Mayo, Lafayette County is built on the people, businesses, families, and organizations that call it home.
